Introduction to the TAO Network

The TAO Network emerged as one of the first blockchain networks working towards combining artificial intelligence (AI) with booster technologies, such as machine learning (ML). This intelligent network operates according to a consensus model, whereby it enables parties to build, train, share, retrain and train new AI and ML models on a distributed peer-to-peer (P2P) network. The innovativeness of the TAO Network lies primarily in its aim of improving access to AI technologies in a democratic fashion. This objective is achieved by implementing a novel consensus model, which was dubbed Proof of Intelligence (PoI), by which participants contribute their own computing resources towards developing AI models and are rewarded for doing so.
